If Friends Were Pumpkins…

…I'd Pick You!  Hello everyone and welcome to Pink By Design!  This is Tanya from  Nonna's Craft Corner and I'm very happy to be here with you today!

I've got a fun, fall card to share with you today.  I used several different embossing folders and my Cuttlebug to create some great texture and dimension on my card.  If you already use embossing folders on your projects, you know what a difference they can make.  If you haven't given embossing a try just yet I hope today's card will inspire you to give it a go!

I started out with a ready made kraft paper card.  My printed cardstock is from the gorgeous DCWV paper stack Autumn Splendor.  I distressed the edges of my cardstock and inked them up with Ranger's Brushed Corduroy ink.  Next comes the fun part!  That fun little sentiment is from the Bountiful Blessings  stamp set from Pink By Design.  I used Brushed Corduroy to stamp my sentiment onto a banner I cut from Cricut's Art Philosophy cartridge. The tree is from Cricut's Heritage cartridge (I love this tree).  I cut the tree out 2 times at 5.5 inches and glued the two layers together.  Next, the tree goes into the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder….

After embossing the tree, I used  Brushed Corduroy to ink up the edges and the "bumpy" portions of the tree that were embossed.  The tree is cut from a really dark brown cardstock and it's a bit difficult to see the detail in this photo, but the embossing really stands out once it is inked up.

Now it's time for the pumpkins.  These were cut from Cricut's Pumpkin Carvings at 1.5 inches.  I used the Divine Swirls embossing folder and Ranger's Spiced Marmalade ink on the pumpkins…

The fence is cut at 3 inches from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.  I embossed the fence using the Forrest Branches embossing folder and inked it up with Brushed Corduroy. You can see how the ink settles onto those raised, embossed parts of the fence for an aged look….

I always like to add a little something to the inside of my card, so I used the same patterned paper from the front and inked up the edges.  I added another cute little pumpkin and hid it in the grass created with a Martha Stewart punch….

And…that's my card for today!  I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope you will pull out those embossing folders and give them a try!  I would love to see what you come up with, so go get creative then post your project over at the Pink By Design Community Forum!

Until next time,

Tanya
