Challenge 5: Ombre Challenge

Hi Friends!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here to share with you the next challenge.  Are you having fun playing along with the challenges?  I know I am.  My challenge for you is to create any OMBRE card or layout.  Ombre is defined as having colors or tones that go from dark to light or light to dark. You can use paint swatches, cardstock, ink or paint to make your project.  Here is my layout.

When I saw this paper I immediately knew I wanted to use the pink as my Ombre background.  So I found 3 different shades of pink cardstock for my background.  I used a Zig Zag border from the Silhouette store to make my ombre background.  I cut out 3 zig zags of each color and then layered them from darkest to lightest.

I wanted to have some ombre accents on my page as well so I made my flowers to match.  I cut the flowers and the bird cage out on my Cameo.  I found them in the Online Silhouette store.  The bird cage is cut out on black cardstock and then I sprayed some Vanilla Smooch spritz on it to give it a little bit of shine.  The sentiment is from the To the Moon stamp set.

The ribbon I used is from 3 Girl JAM.  I used Coral Crush from the Caribbean Splash Bundle.  The "love" stamp is from the Scripted Year stamp set.  The Banner is from the Everyday Banners stamp set.

Now it's your turn.  I can't wait to see what you create.  You have 3 hours to link up your projects here.

Each challenge today has a 3 hour window to link your projects, except for the last 3 challenges. The last Challenge will be announced at the U-stream this evening. Please make sure that you project is a new project. Each hour a new challenge will start. Every person that links up a NEW project for each challenge will receive a free stamp set!!
